A beautiful spring afternoon overlooking the Meramec River from the River Scene Trail on the bluffs in Castlewood State Park.

The park was busy today with people enjoying the great weather and spring break.

The Meramec River has receded taking more of the River Scene Trail with it. In the early '70s the concrete blocks at the rivers edge were farther back from the edge than the benches are now. Where will the rivers edge be 50 years from now?
